1. Play to win, but dont cheat. A victory taken from an even playing field is honorable.
2. We are a team clan. At times it is not fair for us to team, or too chaotic. The ranking member in the game decides.
3. Show all members respect. Whether they be leader, or new recruit, treat them as family. Joking around is fun, but be sure you are not injuring someones feelings. This is one of the things we will not tolerate.
4. Treat respectable opponents with respect. Dont be a sore loser, nor should you be an arrogant winner. There are times when one must defend against attacks by trash talkers, but try not to sink to their level. Use intelligence instead of vulgarity.
5. Only the leaders have the power to approve a recruit and give out passwords. Anyone may invite a player to join AW and tell them what we are all about. What this means is that you may invite someone into the recruiting process, but the leaders will take it from there.
6. During team games, the ranking member will be considered the leader or commander. All attempts should be made to co operate with his or her orders on the battlefield, even if that means adjusting your playing style or taking one for the team. There is no I in team.
7. Do not give out clan passwords. Do not give out any file that can be found on our password protected areas. Do not give out private url or email addresses. Do not give out information found only on our private forums. Violators of this rule will be dismissed immediately with no hope of rejoining.
8. Members will use their AW names and AW clan skins whenever possible. This prevents confusion and buddy list problems. Choose your name carefully. Your name will begin with capital AW, followed by a space, then your name.. As in: AW Member. Recruits do not get to wear the |AW| tag with bars until they have been in the clan one full year.
9. One gaming clan at a time please. We define a gaming clan as any group that plays games and has a website. Members found to be in another gaming clan will be dismissed.
10. If you have a problem that affects your experience in AW, please bring it to the attention of the management. If a fight develops and tempers have flared before the leaders have a chance to moderate, do not expect fair or lenient justice. See #3... If the problem is not between you and another member, you can still bring it to the attention of the manager of your choice. You might be surprised, what seems like a reason to leave the organization can be fixed completely. All members are treated equally, regardless of seniority.
11. The leaders desire to help provide an environment for gaming activities. We are not responsible for providing each member with opponents or activities. However, members who wish to be active in organizing games matches leagues or other activities are encouraged and recognized with promotions. A member may participate in as many or as few activities as they like, provided they make appearances often.
12. A member must remain active in the clan. If a member does not post on the AW private forums for longer than 2 weeks, the leaders may discharge him/her at thier discretion. Leave of absence will be granted upon request. Members who are suddenly and completely removed from ALL access to the internet, including friends and libraries, can reapply explaining the situation when they get back online, and will usualy be immediately reinstated.
13. New Clan members may not consider him/herself a full member of AW until the tasks outlined in the welcome letter have been completed.
14. This is the most important rule. HAVE FUN!
